Terms of service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to marry, and not currently married. You may hold only one account.

2. Your video and profile

You must submit a truthful video introduction of no more than 20 seconds. You grant us a licence to store it and show it to other signed-in members for matchmaking. We review videos and may reject or remove them.

3. Wallet

• Your wallet holds naira you deposit through our payment provider. The suggested minimum deposit is ₦5,000; deposits are optional until you wish to activate an engagement.
• Wallet credit can be used only for engagement fees on MarriageOrNothing. It does not earn interest. Withdrawals to bank accounts are not available in this version.
• Deposits are credited only after the payment provider confirms the payment to us.

4. Engagement fees

• The current engagement fee is ₦5,000 per member per successful engagement.
• Both members are charged the same fee, once, only when a reach-out is accepted and the engagement is successfully activated. If either wallet has insufficient funds, neither member is charged.
• Sending, receiving, viewing, declining, blocking, reporting and messaging within an active engagement are free.
• Reach-outs expire after 14 days without charge.
• We may change the fee. Changes are shown before you confirm and never affect engagements already activated.

5. Refunds

We review refund requests for duplicate charges, confirmed fraud, impersonation and technical failures. Approved refunds are credited to your wallet as a separate transaction. Incompatibility with a genuine member is not, by itself, grounds for a refund.

6. Conduct

You must follow our Community Guidelines. We may restrict or suspend accounts that breach them. Wallet balances of suspended accounts are handled according to applicable law.

7. No guarantee

We help you meet people with similar intentions. We cannot guarantee a match, a marriage, or the truth of what other members say. Compatibility scores are not predictions of marital success.

8. Termination

You can request deletion of your account at any time from Settings.
